Kidnapped youth rescued

KURNOOL: The police rescued a kidnapped youth from Gadwal in Mahabubnagar district on Saturday.

According to reports, Sricharan, 22, was missing since December 4. However, two days ago one of the relations of the kidnapped youth received an SMS saying that he was kidnapped and would be released for a ransom of Rs 20 lakh.

After analysing the phone calls received from the kidnapped youth during the last few weeks, the police concluded that his friend, Narendra Reddy, was behind the crime.

The kidnapped youth and the kidnapper were classmates at a junior college. Sricharan was invited for dinner on the day of his kidnapping.
