National senior-ranking badminton

BANGALORE: The all-India senior-ranking badminton championship will be held at the KBA courts here from December 8 to 12. The tournament which is being staged by Padukone Sports Management.

Originally, the championship was scheduled to be held between December 12 and 16, but BAI revised the dates to accommodate the Indian satellite event at Guwahati which concluded on Wednesday.

Despite the absence of senior stars a good crop of youngsters including Anand Pawar, P. Kashyap, Gayathri Vatrak and Aparna Balan, will be in the fray.

The qualifying rounds will be played on December 8.
