ECB job for Parsons

LONDON: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has appointed David Parsons as the Performance Director of the national team on Thursday.

Parsons succeeds Head Coach, Peter Moores, in the role, which includes overseeing the National Performance Centre in Loughborough, where players train and develop their skills.

A former England spin-bowling coach, the 53-year-old Parsons has been acting as the Performance Director for the past six months after stepping up from his role as Moores’ assistant. — AP
