Let Modi justify encounter before court: Vaghela

Ahmedabad: Union Minister Shankarsinh Vaghela on Thursday challenged Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to file an affidavit before the Supreme Court justifying the encounter killing of Soharabuddin Sheikh. “He is trying to justify the encounter in front of the people. If he has the guts, he should do it before the Supreme Court,” Mr. Vaghela told reporters here.

“The State government has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court saying that Soharabuddin was killed in a fake encounter. Just for political gains, such statements are being made by him,” he said.
