Russia may supply wheat

MOSCOW: Russia may supply wheat in response to a request from India. A delegation of the State Trading Corporation is coming here next weekend to discuss the terms of the deal, informed sources told The Hindu.

Petroleum Minister Murli Deora, during his visit to Moscow last month, asked Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov whether Russia could supply wheat to India to shore up the buffer stocks. The sources said Mr. Zubkov responded positively.
