Madurai: The South West Zone inter-University women’s kabaddi tournament will get underway at the MKU ground on Wednesday. Sixty-one teams, including defending champion Nagarjuna University and last year’s runner-up Mumbai University, will participate in the tournament. Majestic CC posts winMajestic Cricket Club carved out a two-wicket victory over Kapil Devils Cricket Club in the Canara Bank-MDCA first division ‘A’ Zone league on Sunday. The scores: First division ‘A’ Zone: Kapil Devils CC 124 in 33 overs (Kishore four for 35) lost to Majestic CC 125 for eight in 32 overs. Second division: Thirunagar Rainbow CC 136 for six in 30 overs (Vijayakandasamy 43) lost to Agni CC 137 for seven in 27 overs (Rajendiran 40). Third division: Canara Bank 121 for eight in 30 overs lost to Sun CC 122 for six in 22 overs.
