S4 Ind Software buys U.S. firm

CHENNAI: S4 Ind Software, engaged in providing pre-press services to publishing community with its base in Chennai, has announced the acquisition of the U.S. based Carlisle Publishing Services for $ 3.5 million and the formation of new company S4Carlisle Publishing Services. Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday Srinath Krishnamachari, CEO, S4 Carlisle, said the acquisition would bring in new expertise and the company would offer a wide range of pre-press services worldwide.

According to Meribeth Carlisle-Golus, Executive Vice President, Operations, the company would focus on an expansive and a wide variety of services with a vast library of custom designs.

Tony Carlisle, Executive Vice President (Sales), said an individual is assigned to manage each project, overseeing the internal production processes and serving a resource to external customers.The company has a present employee strength of 300 with 75 in the U.S. It is expected to achieve a turnover of $8 million in 2007-08.
