Ernakulam in final
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ernakulam girls blanked Wayanad 3-0 to enter the final in the sub-junior section of the State Table Tennis championship at the Jimmy George indoor stadium.
Alappuzha will meet Ernkulam in the final in the cadet section after beating Idukki and Wayanad by identical margin of 3-0 in the semifinals.
Ernakulam moved into the final in the cadet boys section with a 3-0 win over Kozhikode in the semifinals.
The results (team championship):
Boys: Cadet (semifinal): Ekm bt Kzde 3-0; Quarterfinals: Tvm bt Idk 3-0, Kzde bt Pkd 3-1, Ekm bt Wyd 3-1; Alp bt Mlp 3-0.
Girls: Sub-juniors (semifinal): Ekm bt Wyd 3-0. Quarterfinals: Ekm bt Kzde 3-0; Wyd bt Tsr 3-0; Tvm bt Mlp 3-0; Alp bt Idk 3-0.
Cadet (Semifinal): Alp bt Idk 3-0; Ekm bt Wyd 3-0. Quarterfinal: Alp bt Tsr 3-0; Idk bt Mlp 3-0; Ekm bt Kzde 3-0; Wyd bt Tvm 3-2.
