Kozhikode, Kasaragod score wins

KOZHIKODE: Host Kozhikode and Kasaragod posted wins on the opening day of the North Zone (under-13) inter-district cricket championship at the Medical College ground here on Monday.

The scores: Malappuram 95 for eight in 35 overs (Vaishnav 37, Vaishakh 30, Jikendra Jadhav five for 19) lost to Kozhikode 96 for eight (Iquas six for 32).

Kannur 142 for six in 35 overs (Fabid 37) bt Kasaragod 92 in 31 overs (Munzar 34, Athul six for 27).
