Uniform Vedic rituals for Brahmins favoured
HYDERABAD: A mini-convention of the California-based World Brahman Organisation, being held for the first time in the country, here on Sunday resolved to have uniform Vedic rituals and ‘panchangam’ (almanac) for all Brahmins. This was to bring uniformity in Vedic rituals all over the world.
The meet, attended by about 300 delegates, decided that Brahmins should follow uniform rituals as Vedic order of life and to have inter-connectivity among the community members.
It resolved that Brahmins should undertake social welfare activities without caste considerations. Shyam Narayan Shukla, patron of the organisation, Sangam Mishra, president, Surendra Pande, R.D.Dixit, P.V.Sesha Sai Aswamedhayaaji, vice-presidents, Narayanagiri Maharaj, general secretary, All-India Sadhu Sant Samaj spoke.
