Muia is champion

Pune: Kenya’s Philip Maku Muia won the 22nd Vodafone Pune International Marathon race here on Sunday after

covering 42.195km in two hours and 17.32 minutes.

The results: Men’s full marathon (42.195kms): 1. Philip Maku Muia (Kenya) (2:17.32m), 2. Eston Nyaga (Kenya), 3. Oswald Reverian (Tanzania).

Women’s half marathon (21km): 1. Roman Gebregessese (Ethiopia) (1:11.30m), 2. Hellen Kusyoka (Kenya), 3. Agnes Katunge (Kenya). — PTI
