Honours for Railways

VIJAYAWADA: Indian Railways emerged winner of the all-India senior women’s inter-zonal knock-out cricket tournament, which concluded at Anantapur on Sunday. Railways, in reply to Maharashtra’s 234, was 296 for three in 76.2 overs when play was called off.

The scores: Maharashtra 234 in 88.4 overs drew with Indian Railways 296 for three in 76.2 overs (Mithali Raj 137 n.o., Jaya Sharma 73, Hemalatha Kala 64).
