Mamata Banerjee dismisses CPI(M)’s charge against CRPF

Kolkata: The Communist Party of India (Marxist)’s allegation that the CRPF was committing excesses in Nandigram was an attempt to malign the Central forces so that the party could continue the mayhem unchallenged, Trinamool Congress said on Saturday. “Those who are themselves continuing atrocities in Nandigram are making allegations against the CRPF.”

The CPI(M) is not allowing hundreds of supporters of the Bhumi Ucched Pratirodh Committee to return,” Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee told PTI.

She said she would visit Nandigram on December 3. — PTI
