12 teams for CFA senior league
CHENNAI: Twelve teams are in the fray for the Chennai Football Association senior division league for 2007-08.
ICF, AG’s Office, Indian Bank, Chennai Customs, Nethaji SC, Madras Sporting Union, SAI, SBI, Soccer Club, Arrow’s FC, Tamil Nadu Special Police and RBI are the participating teams.
The two promoted teams are TNSP and RBI, while Marine SC and Central Excise have been relegated.
M.R. Bharath, Chairman and Managing Director, M/s Akshaya Finance Bharath Limited, will inaugurate the championship at the Nehru Stadium on December 3 at 2.45 p.m.
Entry will be Rs. 5 per person, through ‘H’ gate.
The winning team will take home Rs. 10,000, while the runner-up receives Rs. 5,000. Awards will be given for best player and best disciplined team. — Sports Reporter
