PNB beats Indian Oil, enters final

NEW DELHI: Punjab National Bank defeated Indian Oil 1-0 to enter the final of the 18th Lal Bahadur Shastri hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Saturday.

Skipper Bikas Topu scored the winner in the 47th minute.

Indian Oil tried hard to level the match and forced two of its three penalty corners in the 68th and 69th minutes but could not prevent PNB from winning the match.

The second semifinal between Namdhari XI and Bharat Petroleum will be played on Sunday.
