BANGALORE: ASC signed off its super division league engagements on a winning note. At the Football Stadium here on Saturday, ASC pocketed full points with a 2-1 win over Postal to finish with 19 points (five wins, four draw). M.G. Ramachandran put ASC ahead with a 36th minute strike and 13 minutes into the second-half, Thirunavakarasu put the issue beyond Postal’s reach. Arun Pandey, however, did manage to pull one back a minute from the final hooter. In another super division match, KSP blanked LRDE 4-0 with goals from Vinod Kumar (54th and 68th), Karthik (61st) and Maheshwaran (71st). In the ‘A’ division league, Dharmaraja Union trounced BUFC 5-0. Allwyn (10th and 79th), Charan (42nd and 44th) and Sam (38th) got the goals for the winner. The league will now resume on December 15 as the inter-collegiate tournament conducted by the KSFA will commence on Sunday and conclude on December 14. Meanwhile at Shillong, BDFA XI lost 0-1 to Delhi’s United Club in the semifinals of the Meghalaya Invitation Cup football tournament. — Special Correspondent
