SBT enters final
KOCHI: State Bank of Travancore (Thiruvananthapuram) will clash with Thrissur’s Oxygen Pharma in the final of the second Dronacharya Trophy Navy Day all-Kerala football tournament at the floodlit Fort Kochi Parade Ground on Sunday evening.
In the semifinals, Kerala League champion SBT defeated defending champion Central Excise 2-1. Sajeer converted a penalty early in the second half to give Excise the lead while SBT’s Abdul Noushad struck the equaliser in the 82nd minute, also off a penalty.
Martin John struck the match-winner in the injury time, after being put through smartly by Asif Saheer. Earlier, Oxygen Pharma defeated Malabar United 3-1 in the other semifinal.
