Mar Ivanios triumphs
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram, won the Kerala University inter-collegiate basketball tournament at the Mar Ivanios College court here on Friday.
In the final, Mar Ivanios crushed LNCPE, Kariyavattom, 80-33. College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, took the third spot after a 49-44 win over TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, in the loser’s final.
The results: Final: Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram, 80 (V.G. Ajith 18, Anoop Devasia 13, Albin Baby 11, Nikhil 11) bt LNCPE, Kariyavattom 33.
Loser’s final: College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, 49 (Vishnu 26, Allen 16) bt TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, 43 (Shankar 23).
Semifinals: Mar Ivanios College 53 (Albin Baby 11) bt TKM College of Engineering 6; LNCPE 47 (Sumesh 15) bt College of Engineering 25 (Allen 12).
