Rane wins long jump with career-best performance

COLOMBO: Krishna Kumar Rane jumped to a career best distance of 7.45 metres to win the men’s long jump event as India dominated the opening day of the SAF Junior athletics championship at the Sugathadasa Stadium here on Thursday.

India claimed eight gold medals of the 11 on offer while the rest were taken up by the host.
