CHENNAI: The English Cricket Board (ECB) is sending a team of promising cricketers to the MRF Pace Foundation for a two-week training programme from November 30 to December 15. Thereafter the team will shift base to Mohali for a similar programme. This is the first time that the ECB is sending a group comprising batsmen, bowlers and keepers to Dennis Lillee’s camp, according to a press release from T.A. Sekar, chief coach, MRF Pace Foundation. Some of the players have already had international match exposure. As part of the visit, the team will play two matches — one a three-day affair (December 2 to 4) and the other, a four-day match (Dec. 11 to 14) — at the MRF Pachaiyappas College ground. Following are the members of the team: Tim Ambrose (capt.), Chris Tremlett, Steven Finn, Michael Carberry, Adil Rashid, Moeen Ali, Jo Denly, Tim Bresnan, Graham Onions, Steve Davies, James Hildreth, Chris Schofield, James Tredwell, Amjad Khan, Jon Trott. Head coach: Kevin Shine. Seniors’ coaches: Ashley Giles and Martyn Moxon. Manager: Guy Jackson.
