Sasikiran draws

NEW DELHI: K. Sasikiran and Russia’s Vadim Zvjaginsev drew their second classical game in the second round of the World Cup chess championship at Khanty Mansiysk, Russia, on Wednesday.

Following the 22-move deadlock, the players go into a two-game rapid clash for a place in the third round on Thursday. In a major upset, Poland’s Barlomeij Macieja defeated third seed from Azerbaijan, Teimour Radjabov 2-0.
