GURGAON: Haryana and Bengal charted similar routes into the final of the 44th Junior National football championship for the Dr B. C. Roy Trophy at the Devi Lal Sports Stadium here on Wednesday.

Haryana made it to its maiden final beating Orissa 4-2 in the tie-breaker after the two teams were locked goalless at the end of the regulation time and 20 minutes of extra-time.

In the second semifinal, Bengal ousted the defending champion Jharkhand, winning 3-0 in the tie-breaker after they were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time.

Despite a few attempts in the extra-time, the deadlock remained.
