Special programmes to mark World AIDS Day

COIMBATORE: The Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS) will organise special programmes to mark World AIDS Day on December 1 in the city.

About six NGOs have joined together with TANSACS to conduct rallies and sessions on HIV prevention and care and support programmes.

More than 100 people living with HIV/AIDS will take part in the programme, Santhana Devi, president, Coimbatore Network for Positive People, said. An exhibition will also be organised. The programmes will be held at the Corporation Kalaiarangam, R.S. Puram.
