MANGALORE: Merchants FC (Mangalore) scored a 4-0 win over National Institute of Technology–Karnataka (Srinivasnagar) in the Ahmed Master ‘B’ division football league here on Wednesday. The win assured it of a place in the ‘A’ division next year where it will be joined by Mangalore Heros FC, which had booked its ‘A’ division berth earlier. A brace each by Farshat and Shravan, all in the second-half, set up Merchants’s win. In another ‘A’ division fixture, Bengre Vidyarthi Sangha beat JEM FC 3-0. Arun (2) and Ragavendra were the scores. The winners led 1-0 at the breather. Saptagiri TrophyEntries have been invited for the second Saptagiri Trophy under-15 inter-school cricket tournament in Dharwad from Dec. 9.
