Coimbatore: Kendriya Vidyalaya MHSS blanked St. Joseph’s MHSS (Ondipudur) 4-0 in its opening fixture in the Bishop Ambrose Trophy football tournament at the Christ the King Polytechnic College grounds in Othakkalmandapam on Wednesday. The results: Bishop Ubagarasamy HSS (Tirupur) bt CMS MHSS (Cbe) 2-0; Kendriya Vidyalaya bt St. Joseph’s MHSS 4-0; Mani HSS bt Immaculate MHSS 3-0. Selection trialsThe Coimbatore District Handball Association will hold selection trials for under-17 boys at the GKD MHSS on December 2 at 4 p.m. The selected players will take part in the State championship in Chennai from December 9.
