BANGALORE: Two labourers were killed in a wall collapse at the Toyota Kirloskar factory in Bidadi police station limits in Ramanagaram district on Tuesday. The police said the factory had entrusted construction in the compound to a contractor. It was around 10.30 a.m. that the wall built of hollow bricks collapsed on them. The two — Pichandi (24) of Tamil Nadu and Parashuram (23) of Raichur district — died on the spot. Hacked to deathA man with criminal antecedents was dragged out of an autorickshaw and hacked to death in Fraser Town police station limits on Monday. The police gave his name as Vincent Babu (35), a resident of Gandhigram in Benson Town. Around 10.30 p.m., when Vincent Babu was travelling in an autorickshaw, four men stopped the vehicle near Pottery Circle, pulled him out and attacked him. The Fraser Town police, who have registered a case, suspect that upset over his activities, Vincent Babu’s younger brother Arul Das and his friends had murdered him. Woman murderedManju Gupta (35), wife of Ranjit Gupta, was bludgeoned to death by her tenant Sharavana on Tuesday afternoon at Hebbagodi in Bangalore Rural police station limits. The police suspect that Manju may have been attacked following a quarrel in the morning when Sharavana demanded the advance money paid for the- house be returned. StrangledIndira (25), mother of two, was strangled allegedly by her husband Prathap at their house in Sanjaynagar in Doddaballapur town in Bangalore Rural district on Monday. The police said that Prathap, who was at large, had killed Indira suspecting her fidelity. The Doddaballapur police have registered a case of murder and are on the lookout for Prathap. Killed in accidentManu Varghese (30), a software engineer, was killed after a BMTC bus hit his motorcycle near Benniganahalli bus stand on Old Madras Road around 4.15 p.m. on Monday. The police said Varghese, a native of Kerala, was a resident of Indiranagar here. Burglary Burglars struck at a house in J.C. Nagar police station limits on Monday night and looted cash and valuables. The police said the incident took place at Vittal Rao Muraje’s house on Nandidurga Road. Vittal Rao and his wife went to the U.S. two months ago. Run over by trainA man aged around 40 was run over by a train near Malleswaram on Monday. The City Railway Police, who have registered a case, suspect that the unidentified man could have committed suicide.
