UNICEF awards

BANGALORE: Vasundhara Bhupathi, a freelance journalist, and Prakash Hebbar of Vijaya Karnataka have been selected for UNICEF awards for HIV/AIDS journalism, instituted by the Communication for Development and Learning (CDL), a Bangalore-based voluntary organisation, to recognise and appreciate the efforts of Kannada journalists.

Dr. Bhupathi’s article, which appeared in Udayavani, was judged the ‘best feature article’ on general issues related to HIV/AIDS.

Mr. Hebbar’s article, which appeared in Vijaya Karnataka, was judged best feature article on issues related to paediatric AIDS and PPTCT. — Staff Reporter
