Symphonia heralds Christmas season
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: The evening nip in the air brings with it the carol season, and one of the first public performances took place in the city last weekend.
Symphonia, a 30-member choir led by Gladys Mohanraj, accompanied by five musicians, made its choral presentation at the Guru Nanak Bhavan over the weekend. Dressed in the most preferred colours of the season, red, white and green, and led by Ms. Mohanraj, the choir began with a touching performance of “O Come Emmanuel”, which incidentally was the theme of the concert.
The audience was also treated to four solos.
