Chenai wins individual trap gold

HYDERABAD: Darius Chenai of Andhra Pradesh won the individual trap gold in the South Zone shotgun shooting championship that concluded at the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) range here on Monday.

In the team event, Chenai, along with Asher Noria and Khuram Ansari, steered the host to gold.

The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) official and judge, Padma Nabhan, gave away the prizes.

The results:

Individual: 1. Darius Chenai (AP) 131, 2. Prithvi Raj (TN) 129, 3. Asher Noria (AP) 124.

Team: 1. AP 310 (Darius Chenai 110, Asher Noria 106, Khuram Ansari 94), 2. TN 273 (Senthil Kumar 76, Venkat Ram 101, Lokeshwaran 96).
