D’Souza-Muthappa duo triumphs

BANGALORE: The team of David D’Souza and Sagar Muthappa (Garden City Fashion Pvt. Ltd.), with a score of 60.75 nett, won the Chirstel House Open charity golf event at the KGA Course here last Saturday.

The first runner-up team was Sanjeev Shanmugam and Roopa Pratap (MLC Industries Pvt. Ltd.) with a score of 64.75 nett and the second runner-up team was M.P. Paul and Pankaj Malik (Hinduja Holdings Pvt. Ltd.) with a score of 65 nett.

Atul Khanna won the longest drive at 285 yards, while Zafar Ahmed was the winner of the straightest drive and Pawan Grover was closest to the pin.

The premier charity golf tournament, presented by Puma, was attended by representatives of the corporate world.

Niki Ponnappa (a budding professional women golfer), Renuka Philip (former captain of India women’s golf team), Suresh Sood (Chairman, Fluid Systems), Sandeep Maini (MD, Reva Electric Car Company) and other CEO’s teed off to mark the opening of the event.

About 50 teams participated in the league that included representatives from Reva, Aricent, Zion Integrated Services, Fluid Systems, Hunt Partners, Infowave Software Solutions, ARO Granite Industries Ltd., Deutsche Bank and many more. — Special Correspondent
