10 injured in clash over POSCO project

BHUBANESWAR: At least 10 persons were injured in a clash between the villagers supporting and opposing the proposed POSCO steel project in Erasama block of Jagatsinghpur district on Sunday. Unofficial sources, however, put the figure at 20.

All the injured persons were rushed to the Kujang government hospital, from where three were referred to the SCB Medical College at Cuttack.

The clash took place around 3 pm when some people were coming to attend a meeting of the POSCO Pratirodh Sangram Samiti at Balitutha locality.
