Randhawa, Ghei improve to tied 19th

Donggua: Jyoti Randhawa and Gaurav Ghei forced their way back into the reckoning for a decent finish in the Omega Mission Hills World Cup with a brilliant seven-under 65 in the third-round fourballs to jump to tied 19th spot here on Saturday.

Ghei and Randhawa have a total of seven-under 205 and are determined to end with a flourish on Sunday but Ghei has admitted he is not in the best of form and has so far relied on Randhawa’s aggressive play.

Jeev slips to tied 51

At Kochi, Japan, Jeev Milkha Singh’s hopes of defending the title went up in smoke after the Indian pro returned his worst card of the week, a nightmarish four-over 76, to slide to tied 51st after the penultimate round in the Casio World Open on Saturday.

At Hanoi, Gaganjeet Bhullar maintained his rising graph and carded a sedate two-under 70 to be tied 17th, while compatriot Rahil Gangjee slipped to tied 19th after a penultimate round of 74 in the Hana Bank Vietnam Masters.
