Junior National meet

VIJAYAWADA: The four-day Reliance 23rd National junior athletic championship will begin at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium here on Saturday.

Over 1,500 boys and girls in four age categories (u-14, 16, 18, and 20) will take part.

The Indian contingent for the forthcoming South Asian junior athletic championship at Colombo from Nov. 29 and 30, will also take part in the event.

Karnataka’s Poovamma (400m), Kerala’s Chinchu Jose (800m), C. Arya (400m), West Bengal’s Debashree Mazumdar (200m) and Andhra’s G. Harathi (400m) would undergo a three-week-long training in South Africa.
