Punjab, M.P. garner three points each

VIJAYAWADA: Punjab and Madhya Pradesh garnered three points each against Orissa and Tamil Nadu respectively by virtue of first innings lead in the all-India senior women inter-zonal knock-out cricket tournament at Anantapur on Wednesday.

The scores: Punjab 343 and 168 for 2 in 36 overs (Anureet Kaur 99, Gurupreet Kaur 62) drew with Orissa 107 in 59.3 overs (Komal Preeth five for 15). Punjab 3 Orissa 1.

Madhya Pradesh 207 drew with Tamil Nadu 147 in 89 overs (M.A.T. Kamini 104 n.o., Pallavi Bharadwaj five for 28). MP 3 Tamil Nadu 1.
