ERODE: Erode district police arrested 14 persons including two women and recovered from them Rs. 8 lakh worth of stolen goods.

According to police, based on complaints regarding criminal activities such as house breaking, theft in jewellery and other shops, chain snatching and other crimes, the Superintendent of Police Sonal V. Misra formed a special police party.

On Monday, the team arrested 14 persons including two women and recovered Rs. 8 lakh worth of gold jewellery, textile goods and electronic material from them.

All 14 were remanded to judicial custody.
