Angry passengers rough up Air India staff
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Passengers of a Mumbai-bound Air India flight allegedly roughed up three members of the airline staff at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Sunday night. They were apparently upset at the delay in the departure of their flight.
Flight AI-307 from Tokyo with a stopover at Delhi had to be grounded because of a technical snag.
Around 90 passengers were to take the flight at 8 p.m.
“The staff members received minor injuries,” said airline spokesperson Jitendra Bhargava.
The passengers were later sent to Mumbai by a special plane, he added.
