“Article 356 not the remedy”

KOLKATA: The recent developments at Nandigram do not warrant the invocation of Article 356 in West Bengal, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Sriprakash Jaiswal, indicated here on Monday.

“Article 356 is not the remedy for all the problems”, he said when asked by newspersons for a reaction to the demand of certain Opposition parties for the invocation of the Article in the State in the wake of the recent violence in the Nandigram area.
