Bhupathi to return home next week

BANGALORE: Indian tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi, who underwent micro discectomy surgery in Melbourne for recurrent back pain last month, plans to return home next week and resume practice. In an e-mail to The Hindu here, Bhupathi said that he was pleased with his recovery.

“I am recovering well and I plan to return home next week and start hitting.” On the plans for the coming season, Bhupathi said: “I am targeting the Australian Open to begin with..” — Special Correspondent
