Fredrick passes away

Chennai: Prof. V. Fredrick, vice-president, Tamil Nadu Hockey Association, and secretary, Thanjavur District HA, passed away on Friday. He was associated with the administration for over three decades. Apart from promoting the sport in the districts, he had been manager of State teams for several National championships.

Fredrick was one of the judges for the India-Poland Test played at Chennai. IHF Secretary K. Jothikumaran described Fredrick’s death as a great loss to State hockey. — Hockey Correspondent
