India surges ahead

GURGAON: India took a handy 11-5 lead against Pakistan at the end of the first day of the Indo-Pak golf dil se, a friendship series being played at the floodlit DLF Golf and Country Club here on Friday.

India won five matches, lost one and halved one in the ‘four-ball better-ball’ format.

On the second and final day, 12 matches are lined up, to be played on a match-play singles format. There are 24 points at stake. — Principal Correspondent
