MP stuns TN

FARIDABAD: Lucky Imran and Mohsin Khan scored in either halves as Madhya Pradesh rallied to beat a better-rated Tamil Nadu 2-1 in the Cluster VII league match in the 44th junior National football championship here on Friday.

Tamil Nadu took an early lead through Kumar Naidu who scored in the 13th minute. But its resistance wore out when Lucky Imran struck the equaliser in the 33rd minute.

On changing the ends, Mohsin Khan (46th) scored the winner as soon as the play began in the second half.

The results:

Rajasthan 2 (Arjun Singh 7th, Saurabh Garg 84th) bt Puducherry 1 (S. Karunanidhi 53rd); Jammu and Kashmir 0 drew with Gujarat 0; Mizoram 1 (S. Lalrinpina 84th) bt Uttarakhand 0; Madhya Pradesh 2 (Lucky Imran 33rd, Mohsin Khan 46th) bt Tamil Nadu 1 (Kumar Naidu 13th).

Bihar 4 (Arjun Tudu 37th, Manoj Toppo 52nd, 63rd, Dhukhiram Tudu 80th) beat Maharashtra 0.
