Tyre sealant in the market

KOCHI: The Kochi-based HKA Agencies is distributing Ride-On Tyre Protection System, a high-tech tyre sealant manufactured in the U.S. The product was specially formulated to prevent punctures in tyres, Ahmed Zabjeesh, executive director of the company said. The product could be injected into the tyres. It was designed to seal most punctures in the tread area of the tyre caused by nails, screws, etc. It would also help extend the life of the tyre, he said. It could be used in tyres with tubes as well as tubeless tyres. As the tyre rotated, tyre pressure and centrifugal force would draw the Ride-On TPS to the puncture. The sealant would enter the puncture cavity and seal it. It also protected steel and aluminium wheels and tyre belts against rust, according to him. One application would be enough for the entire life of the tyre, he said. — Special Correspondent
