Gulzarbagh station to be renamed Azimabad

Patna: The Gulzarbagh railway station near here will soon be rechristened as Azimabad in honour of the renowned poet Shad Azimabadi, Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad told a delegation of Muslim organisations.

The Railway Minister directed the officials of the East Central Railway to complete formalities in this regard at the earliest. He said that Azimabadi, who wrote poems in Urdu, Arabic and Persian, was also a scholar in Sanskrit. He personally favoured renaming the Bihar capital as Azimabad, he said - PTI
