Bharadwaj drew with Sanjit Saha to finish second with 4.5 points. The third board saw a long drawn battle between Deepak Kumar Payeng and Sushrutha Reddy and the latter won in 64 moves. H.S. Karthik of St Joseph Indian Middle School defeated Bharat Vijayaraghavan to finish fourth with 4.5 points. In the amateur section, Vikram Kumar won the title with 5.5 points. Volleyball tournamentMangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited, Kuthethur, Mangalore will host the inter-petroleum volleyball tournament at its premises from Tuesday.
