CMIE projects Q2 GDP growth at 8.8 p.c.

MUMBAI: The economic growth in the second quarter of this fiscal is expected to be slightly lower than in the preceding two quarters due to a slowdown in industrial growth, the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy said on Monday. “We expect the Indian economy to have grown by 8.8 per cent in the September 2007 quarter.”
