Lawyers’ World Cup

HYDERABAD: The first Lawyers’ World Cup cricket championship will be held in Hyderabad from December 30 to January 7 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal) here.

The league-cum-knockout event will feature eight teams from Sri Lanka, England, West Indies, South Africa, Australia, Kenya and Pakistan. The top two teams from the round-robin league would play in the final.

Chief Justice of India, Justice K.G. Balakrishnan will inaugurate the tournament.
