VIJAYAWADA: Siddhartha Pharmacy College scored a seven-wicket win over P.B. Siddhartha Arts and Science College in the Krishna District Cricket Association’s college league tournament at the IGMC Stadium here on Saturday. The highlight of the match was the 52-run knock by P. Masthan of Siddhartha Pharmacy College. The scores: P.B. Siddhartha Arts and Science College 101 in 27 overs lost to Siddhartha Pharmacy College 102 for three in 17 overs (P. Masthan 52). Ghosh, Banu seeded topSouth Central Railway’s Somanth Ghosh and Nikhat Banu (Gujarath Seva Mandal) have been seeded top in the men and women’s sections in the Stag 31st AP inter-district and 43rd AP State table tennis championship, which kick starts at the DRRMC Indoor Stadium on November 11 to 14. Over 390 paddlers from 18 districts will be seen in action in 10 age-categories. The tournament will be declared open by Arjuna awardee Koneru Humpy. Chess selectionKrishna District Chess Association will conduct the district u-13 championship-cum-selection for boys and girls on November 18 at the IGMC stadium. The top two players will represent the district in the AP chess championship to be held at Bhimavaram from November 24. The players are requested to bring their own chess sets.
