Mushraff’s strikes sink ADE

Bangalore: Mushraff struck thrice (8th, 68th and 93rd minutes) and helped BEL defeat ADE 4-0 in a State super division league match at the Football Stadium here on Saturday. Lal (45th) also scored for the victor.

Vijaya Bank on a roll

Vijaya Bank recorded its sixth straight win when it defeated Jayanagar Sports Club 72-44 after leading 33-15 at half-time in the State ‘A’ division basketball championship here on Saturday. Earlier in the morning session, Vijaya Bank defeated ASC 63-43.

The results: Vijaya Bank 72 (Ashraf Ali 14, Devakumar 12) bt JSC 44 (Kushal 22); Vijaya Bank 63 (Srinivas Nayak 16, Austin 16) bt ASC 43 (V.R.L. Prasad 17, Ravindrakumar 11).

Kamal simply superb

Kamal Haro’s triple strike helped CMP defeat SS Kudige 11-1 in a State ‘B’ division hockey league match at the KSHA Stadium here on Saturday. G. Ranjit Singh (2), Manoj Tirkey (2), V. Bengra (2), P. Haro and S.K. Minz also scored for the winner while Ranjith found the target for SS Kudige.

Other results: HMT 5 (Somanna 2, Sukumar, Vinod and Sanath Kumar) bt RHC 1 (Amin Faizal).

Satish to lead

Satish Kumar will lead the State team in the National under-19 football championship at Faridabad from November 14 to 30.

Selection camp

The Karnataka State Football Association will conduct a coaching-cum-selection camp for girls at the Football Stadium here from November 12.
