CPI(M) cries foul

Special Correspondent

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) was introduced by the Government to take away the land being cultivated by the Girijans in the Podu form, CPI (M) district secretary Ch. Narasinga Rao alleged.

The Girijans were being made to sign agreements that they were willingly handing over their Podu lands on a promise of payment of Rs.25,000 for an acre but the fact was that the Girijans would not have any right on the land in future, he said.
