Arrack seized

CUDDALORE: The police seized 30 barrels of illicit arrack at Akkaraijayankondam-pattinam and impounded five boats used for smuggling the liquor on Tuesday.

The police raided the place on a tip-off. However, those involved in the illicit distillation escaped.
